COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed for comprehensive coverage of stuck pipe problems and resolutions. Initially, main reasons behind the stuck pipe will be discussed.

During drilling operations, a pipe can be stuck. It happen when it cannot be freed from the wellbore without destroying the pipe, and without exceeding the drilling rig’s pulling load. This 5-day course was designed to explain this problem and the plan can be deployed to solve it. This five-day course provides comprehensive coverage of stuck pipe problems and their resolution. It begins by defining stuck pipe and explaining the primary mechanisms that lead to such incidents.

During drilling operations, pipe can become stuck when it cannot be freed from the wellbore without damaging the pipe or exceeding the drilling rig’s allowable pulling capacity. This course is designed to explain the causes of stuck pipe and outline effective strategies for prevention and remediation. The program first examines the main causes of stuck pipe, followed by practical methods to prevent its occurrence. It then covers fishing operations in detail, including tools, techniques, and operational considerations. Finally, the course addresses hole cleaning processes and best practices, emphasizing their critical role in minimizing stuck pipe risks and improving overall drilling performance.
