The aim of this course is to enhance the candidates knowledge and provide a brief overview of the documentation and certification requirements, for land rig and offshore Jack-Up rigs. In addition, candidates will learn drilling equipment evaluation, workover and well control equipment, through compliance with national and international industry standards and safe working practices.
Upon completion of the course, attendees will be able to:

Kenny Suthren has accumulated over forty (40) years of offshore and onshore experience. He started his career in the British Royal Navy in 1978 as marine engineer and then as a search and rescue helicopter Aircrewman. Upon completion of a twelve (12) year Navy career he joined his first offshore rig in 1991, on the Atlantic Drilling semisubmersible “Benreoch” which was working in the North Sea.
Instructor has wide-ranging maintenance and inspection experience gained on Semi-Submersibles, FPSO’s, Production Platforms, Jack Ups, DP-3 Drill Ships, Tender Barges, Swamp Barges, Hydraulic Work-Over Units, Carrier Mounted Rigs and Land Rigs where he held positions as Rig Mechanic, Chief Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent. These positions were held in various regions including, North Sea, West Africa, Caspian Sea, Middle East and SE Asia.
