COURSE OVERVIEW
The objective of the Well Test Analysis Workshop is to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of well test interpretation techniques. Strong emphasis is placed on practical applications, with numerous class examples and real field case studies incorporated throughout the program. The course demonstrates how well test analysis is one of the most powerful tools in reservoir management for making realistic decisions related to reservoir development and production optimization. Both fundamental concepts and advanced interpretation methods are covered, using KAPPA (Saphir) software.
Advanced topics include analysis of multi-stage fractured horizontal wells (MFHWs), Diagnostic Fracture Injection Tests (DFIT), multiphase flow analysis, deconvolution, rate- and time-dependent skin factor evaluation, Inflow Control Devices (ICDs), flow behind casing, multilayer reservoirs, and other complex well conditions.
To enhance hands-on learning, participants are encouraged to bring relevant well test data for analysis and discussion using commercial software. A scientific calculator is required for in-class problem-solving exercises. A detailed course manual will be provided as a comprehensive reference for future use.
