Participants will learn Slickline and Wireline in a structured manner: starting from well intervention environment – completion and wellheads, through wireline surface and PCE equipment. Gradually students will be “going down” under the surface of the earth following slickline wire – to learn how exactly slickline tools work there in a dark of the well. After studying normal operations, we will learn how to prevent operational issues and what to do if life brings challenges to our intervention. Will learn from experience of industry peers and will share ideas of how we can rectify problems. Last but not the least – we will learn what operations can be commenced on electromechanical cable, how exactly e-line data acquisition works and will compare pros and cons of cable-deployed intervention methods.

Instructor is enexperinced and expert in the slickline and wireline operation. He is also a 3D tools designer and technical animation creator. He is also FDM 3D print technology enthusiast and prototypes maker. He is currently Service Quality Manager and Field Service Manager for Slickline and Electric Wireline divisions with broad offshore and onshore experience in various types of interventions, in Sakhalin offshore, South East Asia and Middle East regions. He possess in-depth knowledge of well completion design and wide range of intervention technologies and tools. He is author of the educational series in how slickline and wireline operation works.
He later led the implementation of a global 24/7 technical support organization, strengthening remote capabilities and operational performance. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to innovation, operational excellence, and mentoring, and is actively engaged with professional industry organizations.
The course is designed for well intervention engineers, petroleum engineers, subsurface engineers and production engineers who are looking to deepen their expertise in peculiarities of wireline interventions. Also, this course will be particularly useful for the company representatives on wellsite, who interact with slickline and wireline activities on daily or periodical basis, supervise services execution or design well intervention programs.
