COURSE OVERVIEW
The course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the achievement of subsea development projects; includes all stages from discovery to pre-commissioning of the subsea infrastructure. Offshore energy industries such as oil & gas have a process that is used to vet projects to ensure a profitable endeavor. This course goes through the process step by step with explanation of the importance of each stage. Selection of offshore field development components is discussed in detail.
This is a 4-day course designed to provide participants with a complete understanding of offshore field development and subsea systems from concept selection to decommissioning. Included is the phases of development and the evaluation process to ensure a successful project. Each module will examine each project step and provide an understanding to the student of the oil and gas industry standard method for vetting a development design. In Day 1, course participants will learn about how offshore fields develop and how base case concepts are developed. In Day 2, participants will learn how base case concepts are defined, learn about contracting the work for executing the design, and choosing the best platform configuration. In Day 3, participants will learn about developing the right architecture for the field, overseeing the construction work and managing project risks. On Day 4, participants will learn about managing installation, integrity management and final decommissioning of the field. Quizzes at the end of each day will measure learning progress.
