COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides comprehensive knowledge of Subsea Production Operations across various oil and gas production scenarios. It covers key operational challenges including multiphase flow, thermal hydraulics, production chemistry, HPHT operations, pigging, subsea processing, boosting, long-distance tiebacks, heating systems, chemical and gas injection, artificial lift, EOR, leaks and blockages. The course also addresses system reliability, risks and economics, with hands-on commercial software training using a real deepwater field case.
This 5-day course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of subsea oil and gas production operations throughout field life. It focuses on multiphase flow challenges and mitigation strategies under shallow, deepwater, and ultra-deepwater conditions. The course begins with subsea production systems and the impact of multiphase flow on operations, including slugging and HIPPS technology. It then covers pigging operations, solids control, normal and transient operations, subsea processing and production optimization, multiphase boosting, enhanced oil recovery, and hands-on training using industry software. The final day focuses on flow-related risks, recent technological innovations, and future applications, with emphasis on managing costs and risks under varying real-field operating conditions.
