COURSE OVERVIEW

PetroTeach offers a five-day course on Advanced Topics in Reservoir Modelling, designed to support engineers responsible for reservoir modelling in their daily technical and operational duties. This course represents the transfer of more than 35 years of accumulated knowledge and field experience across both onshore and offshore assets. It is structured to enhance participants’ ability to monitor, manage, and improve reservoir modelling workflows while strengthening their technical decision-making capabilities. The training program addresses key aspects of reservoir modelling and provides advanced, practical guidelines to effectively integrate geology, petrophysics, and dynamic reservoir simulation. The objective is to bridge gaps between subsurface disciplines and improve model reliability and field development outcomes.

The course is structured around three main topics:

  1. Applied Rock Typing for Reservoir Simulation (Days 1 & 2)

  2. Geological Model Validation for Reservoir Simulation (Days 3 & 4)

  3. Determination of Reservoir Initial State for Reservoir Simulation (Day 5)

Through a combination of theory, case studies, and practical insights, participants gain a deeper understanding of advanced reservoir modelling techniques and interdisciplinary integration.
