FAQ

DESIGNED FOR

The course is designed for:

  • Subsea engineers and petroleum engineers involved in design and operation of the offshore systems and equipment - exploration, production, supply, transportation and refining
  • Engineers from operator, service and engineering, maintenance, inspection, materials, and construction companies
  • Facilities engineers and operators
  • HSE personnel
  • Managers and supervisors,
  • Project planners and procurement personnel
COURSE LEVEL

Basic to Intermediate

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this course, participants will learn to:

  • Gain understanding of the types of oil and gas reservoirs and reservoir characteristics impacting subsea field development and subsea field architecture
  • Understand functional requirements of common subsea equipment, such as umbilicals and controls, risers, and flowlines components and their configurations related to design and operating the subsea fields
  • Analyze design drivers for subsea equipment, subsea systems, and interfaces using subsea field design data, design philosophies to new subsea configurations and design considerations.
  • Manage risks arising from flow assurance solids and blockages of subsea systems, selection of subsea materials, and seals requirements of subsea systems per industry standards and utilize practical engineering judgments involving complex design tradeoffs in real-field scenarios including installations.
  • Evaluate design and operation of subsea production system at the system level including economics, risks, maintenance, integrity, critical testing, surveillance and well control/integrity over the field life.
