INSTRUCTOR

The instructor is a geo-energy expert and lecturer at Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU), Germany, with extensive experience in geoscience and energy systems. He has over 30 years of international industry experience with Shell, where he held senior roles including Chief Geologist and Head of Geological Services. His work has focused on digital transformation in subsurface data and energy transition, Including contributions to the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) initiative. He has published widely in geoscience and led global training programs for subsurface professionals. In addition to academia, he serves as an advisor in energy transition and national programs, with strong involvement in professional organizations such as European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers and American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
